Crazy

My big yogurt bowl I made for breakfast this morning kept me full all the way through the lunch break I gave my class.

That’s some powerful stuff! Unfortunately, the coffee didn’t last too long.

On my way home from work I was behind seven cars. It was rush hour, so we were all going pretty slow because there were a lot of us on the road. I was on a pretty dangerous road (high speed, a bunch of turns) and suddenly I saw a car trying to pass everyone. I looked in front of me and realized there was a car in front of us coming towards us, about to hit the car passing everyone. Suddenly the passing car (somehow) squeezes in a few cars in front of me. I still don’t understand how they managed to squeeze in because the two cars in between were pretty close together.

I figured maybe she just was in a hurry and this near-death experience made her realize she needs to slow down and drive the speed limit like the rest of us.

uh…nope.

She kept swerving into the left lane to try to pass but there were always cars coming towards us. This happened about ten times until finally we got to a stoplight and she sped off.

I kept driving like normal and decided to make a stop at the grocery store and surprise, surprise, the car was there.

Seriously? You’re in that much of a hurry to go to the grocery store you have to risk everyone else’s lives? I just don’t understand people sometimes.

In less-grumpy news: I am working on a super fantastic stuffed pasta recipe that I am excited to post within the next couple of days…and stuff my face with tonight.

For once I don’t have anything I have to do tomorrow. I’m excited to have the day off!! It’s my last couple days of summer before classes start up, I need to end this summer right!

What are you doing this weekend? How was your saturday?

  1. I’m so happy you get a day off! Enjoy it – you deserve it :)

My weekend is not going well at all, but whatever, trying to forget it. That’s crazy about the driver…I was driving home very late last night in the dark (about a 3 hour drive to get home) and there was a horrific accident along the way. It really shook me up…I slowed my speed and just prayed to God thankful I was safe and that those involved would be okay…

Uh oh! I hope you have a better weekend, there’s still tomorrow! Very scary, I hope everyone’s alright. Sometimes we need a reminder to slow down and be careful on the road, it’s too easy to rush around.
