October Goals

Iiiiiiiiiiiiit’s October!! Which means it’s offically perfectly acceptable to eat pumpkin until you turn orange, eat chili and soup everyday and curl up on the couch & watch a million scary movies in a row.

Friday I looked back on the month of September, but I saved my September goals for today. Here were my goals for last month:

  1. Do at least 10 minutes of yoga everyday- Definitely did not do this. I didn’t make the time, which sounds silly because I only asked myself to do 10 minutes a day. I literally just did not make the time in my day everyday. Some days I did, though.
  2. Meal plan for every week-Yup! You can read all about how I meal plan here (and find links for all 4 weeks).
  3. Cook more- DEFINITELY. I cooked almost every night! and baked bread for my first time :)
  4. Use my free time wisely- I really feel like I completed this goal. Every second I was home I was either doing homework or working on blog-related stuff…and once that was done I went to bed early and have been getting a ton of rest. Apparently it is still possible for me to get sicker than I’ve been in a while, but I’m still rested.
Now moving on to my goals for this month!

October Goals

  1. Continue to meal plan…planning out my dinners last month made my nights so much less stressful because I didn’t have to stand in front of the refrigerator for an hour deciding what I wanted to make.
  2. Take more pictures of my daily life…I never take pictures. For a while I was really good about taking pictures, but I’ve started to slack off.
  3. Eat more fruits and vegetables…I’ve been failing at this!  I think planning my breakfasts will help me fit more fruits in, but I still feel like I need more vegetables lately.
  4. Try new workouts…I’ve mentioned before my lack of workout motivation, and I think trying new workouts will boost my motivation.
I’m so excited to see what October brings…I feel like it’s going to be a good month!

  1. I’m with ya on needing to add the veggies! I’m great at eating fruit, but green things are hard to fit in. I didn’t set any goals this month, although I usually do. I suppose it’s not too late, but I think I’ll try for a general live-life-well-but-enjoy-it goal. I’m most looking forward to HALLOWEEN, because I adore costumes.

      I’m trying to eat more salads…they seem to be one of the best ways to get more veggies into my diet! Love Halloween…and the costumes!

      • Salad’s are definitely an easy ways to get some greens…but oh, they get so boring! I think veggies just need to step it up in the pizazz department, and then people would be eating ‘em more often. Yeah, that’s right, I’m blaming the vegetables :)

  2. Hey Jackie! Just found your blog & I love it! Great october goals. one of my goals is to meal plan too. Sometimes i will just end up eating a random assortment of stuff– not the most nutritious! i never eat enough protein!

      Hey Mallory, so glad you found your way over here! Meal planning definitely helps me evaluate whether or not I’m getting enough of something (like vegetables or protein), and plan on changing it!
