Shout Out Sunday #14

Good morning! I hope everyone had a fantastic weekend.

Yesterday I spent a couple of hours working at a Halloween carnival. It was so much fun to see all the adorable costumes, it made me miss my childhood costumes!! When I was younger, my best friend and I always matched our Halloween costumes. From what I remember, in the past we have been

  • Babies
  • Go-Go girls
  • Devil & Angel
  • I was Britney Spears (pre-head shaving freak-out)
  • Big group of holidays (I was cupid)
  • Witches
Before the carnival I pulled together a few items from my closet to become a cowgirl
Complete with plaid shirt, ripped jeans, cowboy boots (not mine) and a braid!
I stopped into Starbucks before and felt SO out of place walking around in my cowboy boots. I felt like everyone was staring at me and wondering what the heck Cowgirl Sally was doing getting an iced Caramel Macchiato.
And now, it’s Sunday!! Every Sunday I share 5 posts from other blogs that either made me laugh, think or run to the kitchen. Enjoy!!

  1. Love the cowgirl outfit! Clearly I’m a big fan of anything western…:-)

  2. I live in Tennessee so I always think cowboy/girl costumes are funny–people just walk around here like that ALL the time, how is it a costume? Haha. But I guess in other locations it would count. And cute that you and your friend match each year. Previous Halloween costumes of mine include fairy, witch, earth elemental, dalmation/cow (it was a homemade white costume with black spots, so there was a lot of confusion that year) and this year’s–which will stay a secret until next Monday :D

Haha I literally got all of those items out of my closet (minus the boots…those were my friend’s) and put it together. People dress like that everyday here in California, but it was all I had so it had to do. Secret costume?? I have no idea what to be this year..I need ideas!
